Cameras
The most important choice in designing your surveillance system is the choosing of the cameras.
Will they be used indoors or outdoors?
How much area do they need to cover?
Will they be used in the daytime or the nighttime?
All these questions come into play when making sure nothing goes unseen
Dome Cameras
Available in color or black/white can be used indoors or outdoors and are available for daytime or nighttime use. Dome cameras are also capable of panning a full 360° around and can tile from 0-90° up and down allowing the most coverage available and can be purchased with anti-reflective domes to help them remain undetected.
Wall Mount Cameras
Are also available for either indoor or outdoor applications and are available in either color or black and white with both daytime and nighttime capabilities. While these cameras lack the ability to to cover as much area as a dome camera, they are ideal for covering a specific area.
Bullet Cameras
While they don't have near the coverage capabilities of other cameras they are much smaller in size allowing them to be hidden better and remain unseen.
Monitor Selection
CRT Monitors
Suitable for most standard surveillance systems, available in color or black and white picture.
LCD Monitors
Less space consuming and compatible for use with High Resolution camera systems. Features that make it ideal for smaller offices or for use with home surveillance systems.
